Cocoa

Cocoa is a highly prized commodity. Cocoa derived products include cocoa powder, cocoa butter, and cocoa liquors. Cocoa is largely used in the production of chocolate, but other ingredients like cocoa butter can be used in the manufacture of soap and cosmetics. The main varieties of cocoa beans include criollo, forastero and trinitario.

Cocoa is traded at the NYMEX under ticker symbol CJ, and at the ICE under ticker symbol CC. Contract size is 10 Metric Tons quoted in Dollars per Metric Ton. Cocoa is also traded at the NYSE Liffe London under ticker symbol C.  Contract size is 10 Tonnes quoted in Pounds Sterling per tonne.
