Legislative branch: bicameral Parliament consists of a Senate (83 seats - 50 elected by popular vote for a five-year term, 10 provincial governors nominated by the president, 16 provincial chiefs appointed by the president and deputy president from all provinces except Harare and Bulawayo, and 7 appointed by the president) and a House of Assembly (120 seats - all elected by popular vote for five-year terms)
