Human capital index (HCI) (scale 0-1) - Europe

Definition: The HCI calculates the contributions of health and education to worker productivity. The final index score ranges from zero to one and measures the productivity as a future worker of child born today relative to the benchmark of full health and complete education.

Description: The map below shows how Human capital index (HCI) (scale 0-1) varies by country in Europe. The shade of the country corresponds to the magnitude of the indicator. The darker the shade, the higher the value. The country with the highest value in the region is Finland, with a value of 0.80. The country with the lowest value in the region is North Macedonia, with a value of 0.56.
